Luzia's appearance on BBC Radio Solent's The Good
Life show, this Sunday (21st January 2007), was
a great success!
The conversation flowed on the topic of natural
medical alternatives.
The producer of the show, Nicola Murray, was delighted
with the response from callers.
"We'll have to get Luzia back on!" she
said as calls continued to come in. Adding, "it's
a really popular issue."
People telephoned the studio to put a range of questions
to Luzia.
Topics included: how to deal with common childhood
coughs and sniffles; problems getting to sleep;
burns; excess stomach acids and depression.
Luzia was delighted about the experience. "After
the nerves died down, and the first question, I
really enjoyed it."

Long
Crichel's Walled Garden: a haven for those interested
in growing natural food and medicines
Luzia
has been working with the Long Crichel Bakery (North
Dorset) to develop an organic herb garden.
The whole project comprises just over 1 hectare (2.5
acres) with a traditional English working walled garden,
forest garden, orchard, herb garden and three poly-tunnels.
They plan to have a small resource centre / workshop
in order to run courses in 'Herbs for Health', (run
by Luzia) 'Mosaic', 'Stone Carving' and 'Green Woodworking'.
The walled gardens are a labour of love and understanding
of plants, soil and the associated flora & fauna.
In the last few years Long Crichel have begun selling
their own grown organic produce within Dorset and
neighbouring counties.
Working out of an original 18th Century walled garden
that had fallen into disrepair and overgrown. The
gardens have been slowly and painstakingly brought
back to life and is now producing the most wonderful
produce.
All fruit and vegetables are traditionally hand tended
/ grown and organic (certified organic - without chemical
sprays, fertilizers or using GM products) fully approved
by the Soil Association.
